Law Day and Annual Dinner 2011
To: Bar Association of Norfolk County Members
From: Adrienne C. Clarke, Executive Director (Norfolkcountybar@aol.com)
Dear Members:
With each year in hopes of satisfying our Bar Association members we collectively schedule events that we feel will benefit you as a member of the Bar Association of Norfolk County.
Last year we scheduled General meetings, Council meetings, Law Day Ceremonies, a Legislative Breakfast, Seminars which are free to members, Evening Legal Clinics, Inmate Assistance Program with the Norfolk County Correctional Center, and our Referral Service Panel, to name a few. As we continue to update our computer technology we are pleased to offer to our members a means of "getting the word out" to all Association members via e-mail. Subjects or issues deemed important to you may be communicated through e-mail to our Bar members from this office. Please feel free to contact our office for further information. As you can see this year will keep us all very involved and busy.
With the downturn of the economy 2011 was a very challenging year for many. However, we were successful in adding over two hundred new members to our Bar Association mailing list in the years 2010/2011. This year we anticipate the same success rate through diligent recruitment. As always, we request any present member knowing of an attorney who is interested in joining to please call our office for a membership application, or they may download an application from this site.
Although these words come to you with information of upcoming events, it also comes to you requesting any suggestions, topics of interest to you, or informational seminars you would like to see scheduled.
We always look forward to receiving suggestions from our members and will certainly make every effort to carry out your suggestions in our ever expanding schedule of events.
Our membership dues will be mailed for the year 2012 in early October, 2011. We hope you will continue your membership in the Bar Association of Norfolk County. Your input and support is vital in keeping the Bar Association innovative and current. Thank you for your continued support as we look forward to working with you.
