Letter to Bar Association of Norfolk County Members

To: Bar Association of Norfolk County Members
From: Jacquelyn Fagone, Executive Director (admin@norfolkbarassn.org)

Dear Members:

With each year in hopes of satisfying our Bar Association members we collectively schedule events that we feel will benefit you as a member of the Bar Association of Norfolk County. Last year scheduled were General Meetings, Council Meetings, Law Day ceremonies, Seminars, Inmate Legal Assistance Program with the Norfolk County Correctional Center, Conciliator Training, A Conciliation Program with the Probate & Family Court/Norfolk and our Referral Service Panel to name a few. Under “Programs” on the site you will see many programs the Bar Association offers. As a member you may utilize any and all of the programs listed. We welcome your telephone calls to assist you with further information.

As we continue to update our computer systems we are pleased to offer our members a means of “getting the word out” to all Association members via e-mail. Subjects or issues deemed important to you may be communicated by e-mail to all Bar Association members from this office.

As of July 1, 2013 the Bar Association of Norfolk County has implemented a Conciliation Program in accordance with Supreme Judicial Court Rule 1:18 (Uniform Rules on Dispute Resolution), which will provide court-connected dispute resolution services to the Probate and Family Court in Norfolk Division. Free Trainings are scheduled on a periodic basis for interested Family Law Attorneys to become certified to participate in the Conciliation Program. Attorneys interested in this pro bono program and seeking certification may telephone Jackie Fagone at 617-471-9693 for further information.

Although these words come to you with information of upcoming events, it also comes to you requesting any suggestions, topics of interest to you, or informational seminars you would like to schedule. We always look forward to receiving your suggestions and will make every effort to carry out your suggestions in our ever expanding schedule of events.

Our membership dues will be mailed to you in October, 2023 for the Membership Year of 2024. Your continued support in the Bar Association of Norfolk County is vital in keeping us innovative and current. We look forward to working with you.

Thank you.

Jacquelyn Fagone
